Frequently Asked Questions About Camera Inspections |
|
What is a Camera Inspection? A Camera Inspection is a live view of the inside of your sewer pipes through the use of a video camera. How does a Camera Inspection work? A sturdy, waterproof video camera is placed into your sewer line through a cleanout, which is an accessible opening built into every drainage system. The video camera itself is attached to the end of a flexible yet stiff electrical cable which allows it to be pushed in any direction up to 200 feet. The image from the camera is projected onto a video monitor where a technician from Angel Plumbers views the real-time condition of your pipes. When would I need a Camera Inspection? Camera Inspections should be performed anytime you have a serious drainage issue in a pipe having a diameter of 2" or more. They are especially helpful in finding clogs and blockages in your sewer lines that cause repeated backups into bathtubs, sinks, and other fixtures. Camera Inspections are NOT used to examine the inside of water supply systems. What are the benefits of having a Camera Inspection? Camera Inspections take the guesswork out of what is causing your drainage problem. Because an Angel Plumbers technician can actually see what is going on in your plumbing system, there is no ambiguity as to what the best solution is for a particular plumbing issue. Sever problems like collapsed pipes or root penetration in your sewer line can, therefore, be easily seen and fixed the first time.
